In the Qur'an: Al-Baqarah 2:66
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا نَكَٰلٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهَا وَمَا خَلۡفَهَا وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
And We made it a deterrent punishment for those who were present and those who succeeded [them] and a lesson for those who fear Allah.
অতএব আমরা এটা করেছি তাদের সমকালীন ও পরবর্তীদের জন্য দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি। আর মুত্তাকীদের জন্য উপদেশসরুপ।
پھر ہم نے اس (واقعہ کو یا اس بستی) کو عبرت کا سامان بنا دیا ان کے لیے بھی جو سامنے موجود تھے (اس زمانے کے لوگ) اور ان کے لیے بھی جو بعد میں آنے والے تھے اور ایک نصیحت (اور سبق آموزی کی بات) بنا دیا اہل تقویٰ کے لیے۔
फिर हमने इसे उन लोगों के लिए जो इसके सामने थे और जो इसके पीछे थे, एक इबरत और (अल्लाह से) डरने वालों के लिए एक उपदेश बना दिया।
Maka Kami jadikan yang demikian itu peringatan bagi orang-orang dimasa itu, dan bagi mereka yang datang kemudian, serta menjadi pelajaran bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa.
Biz bu (maymunlaşmış insanları) hadiseyi bizzat görenler ve sonradan gelenler için bir ibret dersi, müttakîler için de bir öğüt vesilesi kıldık.
پس ما این (کیفر) را عبرتی برای مردم آن زمان و نسلهای بعد از آنان، و پند و اندرزی برای پرهیزگاران قرار دادیم.
